Hey there guys,

What ever happened to the stickers of the forum logo for our trucks??? This was such a great idea, wanted to make sure it didn't fall off the radar.

Phil is correct, membership in the H2 Club will get you a pretty cool decal.

But, with membership, you get much more than a sticker. CK, take the time to browse around the H2 Club website, you will see there is much offered at a fair price.

Regards,
Jason

I have no idea of why I waited until now to join the club, but Phil's email reminded me and I took 5 minutes of my time and filled out the info and joined.

Jason is right, apparently there are some good benefits to the membership.

Ok I looked over the benefits and these are my thoughts on those.
BENEFITS

Enhanced enjoyment of the H2- Everyone already does this on the forums around the web. Dealer outings are ease to go on all you have to do is talk to your dealer.

H2 Gear and Accessories Discounts
- What about other Hummer variants. The H3, H1 the Humvee. Esentially this club is alienating the rest of the product line just because of the name allown.

Increased Knowledge of the H2
- Isn't that what the forums are for.

Part of an exclusive Family - we hope that within each chapter strong, lasting friendships will be developed, you all already have one thing in common, the love for the H2
- what about the love of the Hummer Brand

Newsletters - as we get more and more established, we will begin sending out a quarterly newsletter with updates on the H2, a complete schedule of events, as well as specials on H2 Gear and Accessories (buying power through numbers)
- Again this bring no value to the other variants of the Hummer Brand. And how much longer will it take to get established will it take to get a newsletter together.

H2 Club Merchandise - with your membership, we will have a welcome gift that will be sent to you; included will be official H2 Club Merchandise:
H2 Club Ashworth Golf Shirt
-Ok that is of some value

H2 Club Baseball Cap
- Maybe

H2 Club "Member" Decal- it is a sticker
H2 Club Membership Card- not a big deal
H2 Club "Survivor Card" - uses: can opener, knife edge, can cover remover, cap opener, three position wrench, magnifier, mini screw driver, compass and ruler

Just to remind everyone I am not down playing this in anyway but couldn't this club be easily done at no charge to its members. Are the contact people in charge in the various chapter compensated in anyway. If they are sign me up but I just don't see the value. What about factory support for events. What if you hold an off-road event and break a tie rod or worse the truck is in operable and there are not enough spares. What is going to happen then. Again I am not knocking just providing something to think about.

Chris

Last time I checked this forum is called the H2 Source. Not the HUMMER Source.

The reason there isn't much about H1s, HUMVEEs, etc is because that isn't the focus here. Not saying that we dont like them or have no interest in them, in fact quite the opposite. Just pointing out why there is a lack of info here on the other models.

And I guess some people find more value in the club than others. Nothing wrong with that.

This is the H2 source but the Club is different. The Club is different. I just don't see the benefit of a club that would not want to participant with other Hummer variants. But if H1's and Humvees and H3's when they are available are not allowed to join the club then so be it that is the choice of the founder and members.

Okay, its the H2 Club. Im not arguing with you Chris, I see your point clearly. I suppose its like a Corvette Club. Its for Corvettes, not Corvettes and Cavaliers.

Maybe there should be an "H2 Club Supporting Affiliate" sticker for H1s and H3s?

Thank you Jason for posting that. I was looking for that. My point is the fact that it is called The H2 club which doesn't show that unless you go to the website. If someone told a Humvee owner or H1 owner, etc. about the H2club website would they go. Probably not.

This has nothing to do with The Hummer Network. I assure you that. I love off roading and factory support from both GM and AMG are very helpful in keeping trucks on the trail when an off road trip lasts for 3 or more straight days. The cost just seems high is all. That is all I am saying.
