Re: Toyota puts first incentives on the Prius
Prius is one of the ugliest cars available today, incentives makes sense.

Re: Toyota puts first incentives on the Prius
They are offering incentives now, since the subsidary dollars from the government/states has all dried up. I am not sure what the tax payer subsidized BS was from other states, but I belive Kalifornia was in the 6-8k range. Don't know the exact amount anymore, but it was pretty good at the time. Probably why I see abunch of 70+ year old farts rolling around in them here.

Re: Toyota puts first incentives on the Prius
Right in line with the lower gas prices...But I thought All of the liberal Prius drivers were doing it for the environment not the money!!! Oh well, I guess they'll go back to crying about the "O-Zone" any how aerosol cans are ruining the planet.
That being said, how are Hummer sales doing? They seem to have had incentives for years now.

Re: Toyota puts first incentives on the Prius
I saw 4 Prius drivers today. Every one of them had death wishes. None of them used turn signals even though there were vehicles in close proximity that could have ended their smugness as easily as running over a soda can.
I might have gotten along side one Prius (that cut in front of me without using a signal) and accidentally crowded him towards a semi to his left. I think he might have figured out the error of his vehicular ways.

Civic Hybrid =
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20070209/...n_honda_recall
First, recalls. Then, as these hybrids get older with higher mileages, they have to change the batteries every 100K or so, I think it costs around $3k. Finally when they decide to take it to the junkyards, they have to pay extra to properly dispose the batteries.
