Default Hood locking methods?

Before I get lit up I understand the guys who want to steal ****, will get it no matter what in the long run. It's up to us, the "Honest" one's to make it as difficult as possible.

With that said, I am trying to get my stereo system back up to what it was before I got broken into last month. One thing the guys did was pop my door handly out, and opened the door, then they opened my hood and cut my horns and my battery cable. After that, they had a free run in my parking garage. Well, other than getting crafty and making something say in the wheel well, I was wondering if there were any other options? Any ideas?

I am interested in the door guards also, but I don't want them to just break the glass either.

Default Re: Hood locking methods?

Put a winch on the front. The hood as long as you have the brushguard does not open that much. I have a cable lock on my 68' Z-28 but could not tell you who manufactured it. it has the round "coke" key and when it is pushed in a bar locks the hood down.
