Yup, it does. The installation calls for drilling one hole but since I have no intention of actually using the ladder, I mounted it using existing holes. It's been mounted for 3 year or so with no problems or rattles.

I did drill mine and mounted it firmly. I have a kid and a dog so when we travel, I need all the space up top

I had my roof rack/ladder installed by my dealer. I don't recall him saying he had to drill extra holes, but I'll check.

nothing to do with the racks, but frenzy...you have alot of lights all around the truck, a little afraid of the dark?????

I dont have one yet, but Im assuming that the ladder actually mounts too the door itself at the top and at the bottom, thus the door opens with the ladder.
