Chris, I like your graduation picture.
Mellisa, I was very proud of my 14 yr old son last weekend when I saw him opening the Hummer door for the girl, and he had the money ready to pay for the girl at the fountain and moviehouse. I didn't have to remind him in advance. I still open doors for my wife and nearby ladies, and I pull the chair for her too. Society may have changed on basic manner toward ladies, but not in my house. I have to admit I loved it when Mel Gibson punched Lucy Lu(sp?), Habba Habba Habba. Rewind and replay. |
Mac I wore some cloths to graduation, well it is kinda hard to see the cap, but its on there. I think you might be wrong about soceity, but all my friends and such do that exact same thing. We always do that, it is called manners, it is good to see your son is doing that. hehe, aww the youngings

I am proud of your 14 year-old, too. He will be quite the catch for a nice young lady.
Manners are the outward expression of thoughtfulness, not some rote thing a person made up long ago just to punish us. Peter is a gentleman (sorry honey for ruining your forum image), and I always attributed that to his innate thoughtfulness. It is a large part of the reason I married him. ![]() |
