Bada$$ upgrade though, I would buy right now if I didn't already have- good luck on the sale!

SPLNE1 - Hey bud, on that treehugger, when you installed it did you have any issues with the grill not clearing the mount brackets when trying to open the hood?

Installed mine a while ago and didn't think about it until I started contemplating my next oil change and found that my hood would not open all of the way, grill isn't clearing the mounting brackets for the brushguard.

Let me know if you had this issue or not and what your solution was if so will you?

Thanks man-

Post some pics, would like to the rig with your guard. You bought Eric's?

Re: Rubber duck tree hugger for sale!!!!

No, I actually got one direct from them (Rubberduck) and spent about a week getting it put on over the course of several hours a night. Once I got it on there, I didn't want to mess with it anymore after all of the work and I left it for a week or more. One I went back to check on it I tried to tilt the brush guard forward and check the hood clearance and found that it was not going to clear.

Actually went to post some pics the other night and couldnt' figure out how to get them to post in... do you need to put them on an online photo bucket first and then post links? Couldn't seem to figure out how some of you were posting the pics inside your post... suggestions would be nice.

Re: Rubber duck tree hugger for sale!!!!

H2MUCH no problems here I just reversed the bolts so when I opened them they loosened and when i closed the guard they tightned up. I cant remember which way the nuts go....:giggling: (insert gay joke here) ANYWAY!! left or right try swapping em out and when you open your hood open it all the way till it touches the lower bumper. It will look pretty weird but it works!!:D

Re: Rubber duck tree hugger for sale!!!!

When you are talking about the bolts that you reversed, are you talking about the ones on the brushguard brackets or the ones on the grill? Just a little confused.

I can open the brushguard all of the way, no prob, but when I go to open the hood, as it folds forward, the chrome grill actually sticks out enough to hit the brackets (or the other way around) holding the brushguard; does that make sense? Really can't see how to make it so that the hood can open without cutting or fabbing the chrome grill somehow.

Let me know what you think. I am going to see if I can take some pics and have some of the other guys help me post them so that I can show you what I am talking about.
