Updated mirror part # for 05 replacement
Hi - I searched but only found outdated numbers.
I've had my mirrors replace twice under 3rd party warranty, only to find they've replaced them with the same part number mirror. I'm assuming this because they are completely black - no stainless insert. Oh yes - and because they crap out within 2 months. Does someone know the latest part numbers of both updated mirrors that replace the 05 models or the TID that has it? I really appreciate it. thanks! Dave |
Re: Updated mirror part # for 05 replacement
I have an '04 and had the original '03-'05 mirror design replaced several times and then the 3rd party warranty company replaced both mirrors with th '06 design. That ended the problem. I do not have the part number but I am sure the dealer can get it for you. Get them both replaced and have it behind you.

If the mirrors are replaced with 2006 mirrors will they plug into the 2003 wiring without modification? I really need to do mine soon and if I find out the numbers I'll post them. ~Richard |

Attachment 51972 Subject: Info - New Outside Rearview Mirrors Available #06-08-64-007 - (02/09/2006) Models: 2003-2005 HUMMER H2 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- New Outside Rear View Mirror Availability The outside rearview mirrors have been redesigned for the 2006 HUMMER H2 and are a much improved design over those used on prior models. The new mirrors have a different appearance than the original equipment 2003-2005 mirrors. Should you have the need to replace a mirror on a 2003-2005 H2, you should replace both mirrors as the new mirrors are now all chrome. The new design mirrors are P/N 15835056 (left) and P/N 15835057 (right). Most customers should be satisfied with the appearance of the new mirrors. The original style mirrors may still available for a limited amount of time. DO NOT order the original style mirrors unless the customer has an objection to the new style mirrors. Be sure to indicate that the new mirrors are both more robust and will help to update the look of the vehicle. Once supplies of the original style mirrors are exhausted, they will not be available. Parts Information Part Number Description 15835056 OSRV Mirror - Left 15835057 OSRV Mirror - Right ***pn#15835056 changed to pn#25774400 retail $425.00 ***pn#15835057 Changed to pn#25774401 retail $425.00 Subject: Adm Msg - 2003-2005 HUMMER H2 Outside Rearview Mirror Head Vibrates #VSS20040161 - (06/18/2004) Models: 2003-2005 HUMMER H2 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Should a customer indicate that the outside rearview mirror head vibrates, this is a reminder to power fold the mirror prior to replacing it. If the mirror is manually folded, by a car wash attendant for instance, it will no longer be indexed to the detents. Power fold the mirror back and forth three times and this will resynchronize the mirror head to the detents. A review of a number of mirrors returned to the Warranty Parts Center indicates that this would have corrected the condition. Also, take a moment to explain this procedure to the customer. |

Re: Updated mirror part # for 05 replacement
I need to get mine replaced as well on my 04. Got into the truck today pushed the button to unfold the mirrors and my drivers side mirror stayed put. The passenger side swung open with no problem. Thing is I just got my truck back from the shop yesterday. They had replace the DVD screen on my passenger headrest. So I take it that these mirrors have this problem?

Re: Updated mirror part # for 05 replacement
I replaced my '05 H2 old style mirrors yesterday with the ones from Car-Stuff.com...
http://www.car-stuff.com/store/?Ntt=...4962767%2B1636 I had to solder wires to my old style connectors but it wasn't a bad project... used shrink wrap on each of the soldered wires. Just go color to color and you should be ok... BTW: the Yellow wire on the new driver's mirror is the same as the White wire on the original... You will see this if you pull the plastic sleeve down towards the mirror... they spliced the yellow's into the white on the old style mirror... New style mirrors are a much better design and look great... |
Re: Updated mirror part # for 05 replacement
 Hello All,
I have purchased the Kool Vue OEM replacment mirrors for my 2005 H2 SUT. My dealership is having a wiring problem where as the wiring on the harness doesnt match up match up to the new mirrors. They asked me to get a wiring diagram to show how to match the old harness wire colors up to the new mirrors so they can connect all the mirror features. Would any have this info or be able to tell me where to get it? i searched the net and found nothing. Kool Vue has no numbe to call and the Autopartswarehouse said they dont have the diagram.. |
