High Lift Jack Mounting Options - Revisited
I've been keeping my high jack inside the truck, under the second row seats, but have been kicking around the idea of doing an exterior mount. Searching the forum and the Internet turned up a few mounting ideas (below), but thought I'd open a new thread to see what other creative solutions y'all might've come up with...
This is my favorite because I've already lifted my spare in a similar fashion. I really think this will be the winner-winner-chicken-dinner, but I'm keeping my mind open for other options too. ![]() ...and these are some others that I've found: ![]() ![]() ![]() The roof rack solutions will not work for me as I don't like anything permanently attached to the top of the truck...rails, racks, whatever. I'll put them on if I need to haul something, but they come right off when I'm done. Thoughts? |
Re: High Lift Jack Mounting Options - Revisited
I don't carry one, but I think carrying it outside the truck will cause it to rust and be another thing to wash. What about mounting it on the ceiling inside the truck somewhere? Or on the inside of the liftgate? That would keep it out of the elements AND out of the way. Just some thoughts.

Why do you feel the need to carry one on a daily basis?

That BS factory jack is pretty worthless IMO...ain't carried it in the truck in years; it stays with the ATV. |

I'll look at some other interior options this weekend. I think the lift gate would be a decent location, but it would prolly make the door too heavy. |
