Super excited! I couldn't wait to share
Ok I'm sooooo excited... I told myself I would wait until after the build was completed before I posted, but I couldn't help myself. After purchasing my yellow 03 H2 2 years ago, I am finally in a position to build it the way I wanted it built the day I bought it. After scrimping and saving so that I could do it all right the first time, I have finally pulled the trigger. Thanks to the guys at 4Wheelparts in Coppell, I can't wait until it's done. Of course we all know, we truly never reach ultimate satisfaction, but I will be a lot closer to it. After careful consideration of my needs and wants, below is a list of what I decided on including the audio.
======================== Paid for: Moog Idler,Pitman, Upper and Lower Ball Joints, In/Out Tie Rods Fabtech 6in Lift Yokohama Geolander M/T 40X15.50X20 (went for something different than the normal Toyo) Black Fuel Offroad 2-pc Nutz 20x9 Bilstein 5100 Shocks Yukon 5:13 gears f/r Hypertech Max programmer (4) 8" round KC 851 HID's 35w Pioneer AVIC-X940BT DVD/NAV/TOUCHSC (2) 10" woofers in Probox Alarm w/remote start Factory painted grille OEM Black billet fuel door ======================== Still want: Dynatech LT headers/HF cats Magnaflow dual exhaust New black leather w/yellow piping ======================== Already got: 6k Headlight HID's White LED DRL (wired to run w/headlights on) Custom University of Texas gauges Custom yellow painted interior New fuel pump/filter (Feb 2013) Newly re-built 4L60E (Apr 2013) I guess due to Dallas Truckfest 2013, their shop is booked. My drop off date is May 29th. Expected completion is June 3rd. I'll post pics when I get it back. Ooooh the suspense!! |
Re: Super excited! I couldn't wait to share
how much did they charge you for the Paid For list?

For the lift, wheels, tires, gears, and KC's I'm right at about 10k. I bought all the Moog from RockAuto for just under 500. Everything else on the PAID list brings it right around 13k total. I think I did pretty well. I shopped around for the best deals on everything for several months and got some stuff price matched. |

Thanks...Pitman had two options depending on your specific vehicle from what I understand. Make sure you order the correct one, either 3 groove or 4 groove. I guessed and guessed wrong so I actually ordered both. Fyi if your rig requires the 4 groove spline, I have a brand new one still in the box if you want it. Moog Pitman 3 groove-K6654 Moog Pitman 4 groove-K6536 Moog Ball Joint Lower-K6933 Moog Ball Joint Upper-K6696 Moog Tie Rod Out-ES3609 Moog Tie Rod In-ES3488 Moog Idler-K6535 |

Awesome thank you!
I wonder how we determine which Pitman arm..? I would assume my 04 is probably the same as your 03 but who knows. 3 groove does make sense too... since the ACDelco part that is listed also says 3 groove, same with the Raybestos brand. |

Funny you asked...had some minor setbacks which delayed the finished product. Apparently today my stock gears were frozen and it took over 4 hours for them to free them up. But I popped in on the shop unexpectedly, and things were moving forward. Hopefully tomorrow will be the day!! I attached some progress pics. Why only do the leveling kit? |
Re: Super excited! I couldn't wait to share
posted a few pics in the photo section of the finished product.
