Fair price for a 2005 Lux H2
Is 27K a fair price an H2 in what appears to be very nice condition. Rear DVD, Nav, sunroof, etc.
I am new to the forum but excited about getting involved in H2s.

How many miles? From what I've seen, the number of miles seems to be a significant factor in H2 pricing.

I know for around 50,000 miles you can expect to pay around $25,000

Re: Fair price for a 2005 Lux H2
I know, I have looked at NADA and KBB till I am blue in the face. The law of suppply and demand seems to be on the side of the seller. I cannot find a 100K model for 25K.

Different strokes. If it were me, and I own an '05 Lux, I would be less interested because of the supercharger. Supercharger = more wear and tear.

He is an older more mature fellow like myself so I am confident he has not abused it. The truck is vitually spotless.

Re: Fair price for a 2005 Lux H2
Also depends on the region, I bought my 05 Lux last year with 26,000 and 1 owner in beautiful shape for under 30. I'm in south Florida and you don't see too many around.

Re: Fair price for a 2005 Lux H2
My credit union is telling me they would only loan 24,875 for it. I am starting to get cold feet. Am I paying too much? KBB.COM private party value is $25,300 and NADA.COM is 28,500.
2005 H2 Lux
Whipple SC
Factory NAV with integrated backup camera
DVD Headrest
Sunroof
Tires 75% tread remaining
It looks very clean and drove great. The my local Chevy dealer that has serviced my avalance since '03 and has a mechanic that does a does a lot super charger work is going to look at it on Wednesday.
Someone please tell me I am not crazy for paying 27K for this.

Re: Fair price for a 2005 Lux H2
Banks are that way and only want to lend what they want to in their interest.
Try shopping around or can you add a down payment to off set the difference.
Do not let the Bank tell you it is over priced if you want it you just need to be
creative.

Re: Fair price for a 2005 Lux H2
I am putting down about 13K from the sale of my Avalanche so it's not that I am trying to borrow the full amount. My concern is that i am paying too much. Maybe with other cars it is a buyers market, but with H2s it seems to be a sellers market due to the low number of them that are available.

The only people that are buying H2's are the people that want H2's.
That being said, there is a guy in another thread on the forum that just said he would've sold his S/C'd 05 with just under 60k miles for $24-25,000, your price isn't far off but it isn't smoking. If the truck is in excellent shape and has options up the A whats $1000-$2000 really?
edit: Considering I'm 26, my used H2 was the largest single purchase I've ever made and I've never had a second of buyers remorse. Pulling the trigger and signing the check was a little rough but I had a 300 mile drive in front of me so I did it quick and got the hell out of the dealership, I smiled the entire way home, probably while I slept that night and I still grin whenver I walk up to the truck or get done driving it.

He traded it on a Ford truck, but did make the comment he would have sold it for that price.
