I have noticed a change in how my H3 is running...seems to be getting better with time/miles! Seems to be a little quicker upon acceleration from a stop....seems to just have a bit more power or something??? Maybe its all in my head but it does seem to be more responsive to the accelerator and jump out there more then when I first bought it a couple of months ago.
Anyone else notice this?

I'm a little over 6000 and I haven't really noticed too much of a change. But then again, I have kind of a heavy foot anyway (aka: Good Cop, Bad Cop thread).

Well, I do drive kind of "light" I guess you could call it....I try to not romp on it out of every stop. My husband has a lead foot so he gets in enough for both of us!

I have started noticing a little improvement over the last 3-4 hundred miles. I have about 2500 miles on it. About 15 years ago I worked on some software improvements with a couple of GM engine control engineers, we basiclly brainstormed and designed a working model that allowed the ECM to learn the drivers habits a make minor adjustments to the timing curve, throttle response and several other settings that are related to perceived power. The only trade off for the ECM slowly learning that you like to have a little better acceleration is a little less fuel economy. As for driving it hard all the time the adjustments would have happened more quickly and would be less noticable. And most engines have limits that prevent damage to occur, so you may not perceive any change at all.

I am not sure if this system ever made it into production or if any part of it did.

I left the company that I worked for at the time to go into software related field.

I've got just a bit over 2K on my rig, and I have found over the last 200 or 300 miles that the engine does seem to run a bit smoother than when I 1st got her. I assume this has to do with breaking in the H3. My mpg has also improved as well.

So far, I'm very impressed with the I5. Its been getting the job done for me.
