anyone install a dvd/cd player / flip out video screen. were the onstar is...(take out the onstar and replace it) under the heating controls? i was thinking of doing that ....and leaveing the stock navagation in ....just wondering if that worked for anyone else? thanks

that looks great ... thats what i am doing now... i thought about putting a flip out screen their.. but i think it will probably hit the shifter when its in park? but still might work.. thanks for the pics..!

it will hit the shifter when in park! there is a setting on mine to where it stays open all the time unless i close it then it stays closed all the time! i have it where you want and left the stock nav screen in also very happy with it that way.

also which dvd player are you useing.. i was thinking about the pioneer 5700 ..i want one that dosent open and close everytime you turn on the truck...im not sure if the pioneer dose that...

i think i have the 5700 also if thats the touch screen that controls the ipod! thats what i got. ill go take a picture and see what modle it is!

i'm considering this operation as well, but have been told by 2/4 places that Onstar service will be lost. the other 2 said there are kits and the like to keep the Onstar service.

did you guys successfully keep onstar while adding full-frontal movie capacity?
