Default Need help on HVAC schematics

Can someone with a technical manual post a picture of where the recirculate actuator is located in the dash and a part number.

My recirculate feature isn't working...

If anyone has other ideas, do tell

The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.
<A href="#ss1-1827662">Condition/Concern:

Owners may comment on poor a/c performance or that the recirculation mode is inoperative. When checking DTCs, a B0229 will be set in the HVAC control module. When this concern happens, the recirculation door is defaulted to the fresh air mode and the recirculation door counts will be less than 5.
New HVAC control head calibrations have been released to correct all over travel/out of range DTCs (B0229, B0414, B0424, or B3770).
<A href="#ss2-1827662">Recommendation/Instructions:

To correct this concern, reprogram the HVAC control head with an updated calibrations. This new service calibration was released with TIS satellite data update version 5.0 available May 1, 2006. As always, make sure your Tech 2? is updated with the latest software version.
Important: After reprogramming the HVAC control head, shut the ignition key off for 1 minute or the calibrations will not take.
Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.

What he said Thanks HUMTECH for the info, hope that will take care of their problem cause replacing it looks to be a pain.

And.... if you want to know where it is at, open your glove box till it folds down/drops down till you can see behind it, then these pics will tell ya what you need to be looking at to get at it.

GM Parts Direct shows a item #15 but it give a price for a left and a price for a right, problem is I would say it is the right one (if you need one) and it is the more expensive one, $137.05.

Good Luck, Ed

Typically its a 1 hour charge for a module reflash with no guarentee that will fix it. Like easyed said, bit of a pain to change it out. Easiest way i have found is to remove the upper dash panel and you can access it from there. Not a terrible job just will take some time if you dont have much experience with gm trim panels.

I don't trust the local chevy dealer, they give me bs everytime I go by, I'll just go to the HUMMER Dealership...

I have changed the actuator for the rear Hvac in a Tahoe... but you only have to remove a rear panel and everything is there.... so much easier.

Anyways, I appreciate the help from both of you, the HVAC system sucks as it is, without the recirculate it's nothing.

tbh wouldn't it be possible to just manually move the door and disconnect the power, would there be any drawbacks from leaving it open permately, such as with the defrost on?

If you get close enough to the actuator to disconnect it its easy to replace from there. Do you mean close it so its always on recirc mode?

Never tried that, may set a code and default the hvac doors. Depending on what code may set you could get stuck on full hot, defrost. Not likely that would happen by unplugging the recirc/fresh actuator though

No problem, hope it works out for ya. If you were in Canada near me i would flash it for ya and only charge accordingly if it fixed the problem, unfortunatley not many gm techs will be willing to do that.
