The coolant is run thru the throttle body to prevent it from icing up.
In theory, it also heats up the air/fuel charge and make it less dense.
Fine mod if you live in a warm(er) area. I don't think I'd try it in Alaska though.
It needs to be put back to stock if climate is a cold one and icing etc. is something you live with at length.
