I kind of like it Chris. But it's starting to look way too much like an Envoy. Nissan is Japan is well known for hacking designs.

What the heck happened to the windows? The fronts appear to be designed by an art student and the rear by an engineer. Someone was-a-trippin'.
And why are the fender flares so big with those tiny little tires on it? The Sequia is a big truck, but it has teeny, tiny tires too. Now that I think of it, most Japanese cars have itsy-bitsy tires. I guess they don't design thing with big rubbers over there.

The problem with this turd is that the Japanese didn't have another automaker's design to plagiarize. If you watch the spy photo sites you'll see the newest german designs up to a year in advance. The Japanese see these pics before that. The Japanese have such a quick turn out time that they can in essence steal a design and get it out to market before the original design hits.

That one still sucks ass. I usually don`t judge a vehicle until I`ve seen it over a period of time. Yup, that`s butt ugly.

They make those about 10 miles north of me! They just started making the Infinity version of it. The first Infinity made on American soil, woohoo.

They can build all the Nissans they want in Missippi and I still won't support that sh*t or proliferate a Japanese brand. They build Toyotas in the California Bay Area, but damned if I'm buying one.
The parts are mostly foreign and shipped here; the intellectual input is mostly foreign, the market share credit goes to a foreign nameplate, and the overall control and ownership is Japanese. In the case of Nissan it is also partly French.
Thanks for the assembly jobs - like Mexico has with VW and others, but I'd rather support and strengthen an American brand. Take my argument to the extreme and you'll understand. If we consider anything assembled in America to be American then why not dispose of GM and Ford entirely. Then when my relatives visit from Europe - I can explain that Toyota, Honda, and Nissan are really American - the world will see the so-called superpower with nothing but Japanese nameplates. F'ing pathetic - we have more technology and intellectual capacity than to settle for the 3rd-rung input on products.
DON'T Proliferate Japanese brands - they don't give us a fair shake in their market so screw 'em.
Saying Nissan is American is a load of crap and it don't fly with me. My loyalty remains Ford and GM products!

It was a sarcastic joke! By the way, many of the parts suppliers have their production facilities right around the plant. So, it's not only Nissan creating jobs but many suppliers for the plant also.
And besides, it's a global economy now.

Yep, global economy - I've also heard all the arguments for a free-market system and that if we only had American cars, then we'd have higher prices and sh*t for quality. I hear you, so I'm not that extreme to the point of a closed economy and "only buy American."
My point is that we need balance and I don't think we have it - the Japanese should not be allowed to circumvent the import limits by assembling here on our soil and then making dupes feel like the car is American. It's f'ing shameful when my relatives come here and all they see is Honda. We built Japan up after they tortured our troops, so we should be calling the shots.
As it stands, they buy a Coca-Cola and some chicken at KFC and we're buying their $60K Toyota Camry XL (aka Lexus LS430).
If American cars were like Volga or Kama3 or Trabant, then I'd hop on the wagon, but I can't justify selling-out when the quality and prices are that close. Sh#t, buy a Jaguar if you don't like Caddy or Lincoln - at least they're owned by Ford and assembled in the UK.
