I'm going hunting next week and I'm going to be towning a friend's lightweight trailer that has his ATV [a 4 wheel motorcycle] on it. I understand that I need a hitch for the H2 that drops down vertically a proper distance for the system to work. Does anyone have any recommendations about what I need?

Thanks,

George SSSS

George, you will most likely need a Reese hitch that is a dropped down version to hook onto you buddys utility trailer. But here is a link to some of the reciever hitches sold by Reese.

A adjustable hitch might be a good one to have also. Doug

Thanks Doug. That helps a lot. I didn't know adjustable ones were made. That sounds like the best bet.

look for 18 inches from top of ball to ground. I think I have that right. With that you can buy correct dropped hitch.

Thanks Vern. Between Doug and you, I'm in great shape on this.

Best regards,

George

George,

Since I just bought my H2, I needed a reese hitch for my enclosed trailer. I went to (don't know if you have them in your area but you can even go to a local parts store or walmart) a Northern Hydraulics. I bought a 6" drop hitch. I don't know about your vehicle but my H2 is stock (for now) and 6" made my trailer sit perfect.

The whole point is for the trailer to be level. I thik you'll find that a 6" drop will suit your needs.

You can buy the hitch with ball for about 30 bucks.

HTH's,

Mark

PS. Not sure how much trailering you plan on doing but I bought my hitch and a 3 ball set. The balls are held on by a pin and are interchangeable. (7/8, 2, and 2 5/16")

I pull an enclosed trailer, bike trailer, utility and jetski trailer...all with different sizes so the extra 30 bucks for 3 balls is simple and easy to use.

And besides, who couldn't use extra balls?
