KROCK is off the scale
Default

I just picked up my 2005 H2 after having the Magna Charger Supercharger system installed. My installer added the Airaid filter system to the truck. After my initial test drive I noticed the truck was holding back a little. I just removed the filter kit and installed the stock filter box and the power increase is INCREDIBLE. For all of you out there who are going to invest in this system, LEAVE THE STOCK AIR BOX ON.

I did not notice a decrease in power from the AiRaid. What I did notice was a whistle that would not go away. Seems to be common with the SC.

Where are you in NJ? As in "what exit"? There just may be an H2 performance fan near you. As a matter of fact, I know there is.

Something is odd there.

Yes Ken! I am a performance fan near Exit 7 as they used to say on Saturday Night Live.

Ken, I live in Northern New Jersey. Exit 18 off of the New Jersey Turnpike. I also noticed the annoying whistle from the Air raid system. My 05 is the second H2 I have owned and I drove my until the odometer hit 70,000 miles. The difference with the SC is incredible.

Interesting. I have yet to hear from someone with an AiRaid and SC that does not have the whistle.

We found that the whistle is from the supercharger not the Airaid intake. We installed a few of the Magnachargers and there is a increase in power when a free flowing filter like the Airaid is installed. The key to this is also installing a free flowing cat back system with the new intake.

Frank, did you get those new brakes yet? Hehe!! BIG-C

I have the Airaid intake system and the Magna Charger on my 03 and I have no whistle sound, just the whine of the supercharger. Don't know why some of your trucks whistle.

I heard no whistle at all with the stock box. This occured on more than one truck I know of so I am genuinly curious. Is it becuause the stock box completely muffles the sound? Seems too loud for that
