No here. It could be an inaccurate gage or sensor. I would recommend a trip to the dealer if running hot by the gage. It could be a stuck or obstructed thermostat, or something more serious.

My truck has been running a little hot too. I noticed yesterday it was hovering at the mark above the middle mark. It seemed to fluctuate as I was driving.

If you think it is running to hot, have the dealer check the gauge, a tech can compare the temp gauge to the Tech 2 reading.

Mine will fluctuate between halfway and a litle over halfway... Depending on traffic. I read in another post somewhere that this is normal.

I have noticed my guage hovers around the middle but occasionally runs maybe 1/8 above center for a few minutes but then ducks back to half. The dealer said no big deal each time I have taken it back.

You know, if your signature didn't say your "butt is itchy," I would have volunteered to fly to Hawaii, at your expense , with a GM official Tech 2, and we could drive around for hours and check your temp gage. After which, I would start up my grass trimmer, and chase down some women wearing grass skirts.
