Default Suspension Question

I'm debating on what route to take for leveling my rig off without going for a full blown lift kit. Here's what I'm considering...

Option 1:Going with a leveling kit like this...
http://www.ebay.com/itm/20032009-H2-...-/130697419493

or...

Option 2: GM green keys and replacing shocks with longer shocks and no extenders(but replacing at all 4 corners).

Also going to install the Cognito UCA kit.

Looking for a general consensus as to what the better route is going to be based off of others experience.

Thanks for the input folks.

That's a good thread...

In my experience...simply replacing the keys and cranking the bars gives you a HARSH ride. After trying that I then added the Cognito UCA kit, longer Bilsteins all the way around, and 1" spacers in the rear. Coupled with some 37s I prolly got about 2-2.5" of lift over a stock rig...perfect for me.

Does anyone have any input on the ride quality of the Rancho RS5370. Thinkin of going this route to save money for other mods.

Anyone try to tackle the green key swap by themselves? Anyone had their installer tell them that it is quite labor intensive? My installer is telling me that it will take several hours to complete due to the cross-members that are involved?...

My buddy that had a shop with a lift did them in about an hour. The biggest prob was breaking the bars free of the existing keys. He had to heat them with a blow torch and bang them out.

it is possible to do in your garage...
when i replaced my uppers with the Cognito, i also replaced my LCA balljoins, and had to fully remove them to take them to a shop to press out the joints.
i could have easily slide the T bar out and swapped the keys.

i would say yes, it would take several hours to do.... maybe about 4 total for both sides.

If you have access to a lift, way less then.
