Re: Dealer scratched up my wheel!!!!!!
F5 is right, damage caused by the dealership does not fall under the bumper-to-bumper warranty. That falls on the dealers shoulders, they should bear the burden of the repairs. HUMMER will call the dealer and say I have XXXXX on the line and they are complaining about XXXX and we are wondering what your solution might be. They dont say, this is warranty fix it. They try to encourage the right thing.

Re: Dealer scratched up my wheel!!!!!!
My dealer has so many of those stock wheels taking up valuable space, they would have gladly swapped the damaged wheel.
When they replace OEM tires, they replace the wheel and the tire all at once for the price of the tires.

Re: Dealer scratched up my wheel!!!!!!
I didn't think it would be a warranty item, since the damge was caused by negligence, not failure. I just want the wheel replaced. I don't care how it gets done.
If I damaged the wheel by my own actions then so be it, but I didn't, and what makes me so angry about it is that it happened at the dealer service facility.
Well we'll see what happens on Monday.

What gives the dealer the right to scratch ANY part of your vehicle? You should receive it back in at least the same condition you had taken it in to them! I'm VERY careful with mine .. I don't like dings or scratches. If I wanted them, I'd get them on my own, like wedging my H3 inbetween two cars in a mall parking lot .. or going to a car wash that still uses plastic staps in an undesirable neighborhood. A sticker slapped on crooked means the person who put it on just couldn't care less. Does it take THAT much more effort to put it on straight? How lazy could they be. Anyways, I feel the same as Lex_Ordo. I take care of mine. I like it that way. After all was said and done .. I paid about $45k for mine when I got it.. That's not really a drop in the bucket. I don't want a tech who couldn't care less putting on a scratch I didn't ask for. I had the dealer repaint my hood TWICE because the first time they did it was a disgrace. They actually tried to tell me it was perfect. Anyways .. stepping off my soapbox now. Good luck Lex_Ordo.

Re: Dealer scratched up my wheel!!!!!!
Thanks Hmmm3,
I'm actually meeting with the president of the Dealership today. Looks like they will be ordering me a new wheel. (I Hope) Keeping my fingers crossed.

Re: Dealer scratched up my wheel!!!!!!
I'm sure they'll take care of you. They're not going to lose a customer over a scratched wheel. I dealt with the owner of a dealership once and got everything corrected immediately and was told to call her directly anytime I needed anything in the future.
Good luck!!!

Re: Dealer scratched up my wheel!!!!!!
Wheel has been ordered! They will call me in a few days to come in and break down the tire, and remount.
Funny thing is that the President of the Dealership is more angry about the service side than anything else.
He told me, I paid for a service, that should have been done .

Yep - usually if you go high enough, they'll bend over backwards to get it right for you.
Glad it's getting fixed for you!
