I am in NJ and drive 40 miles each way to work on NJ Turnpike daily......never have any issues, I didn't buy the hummer for the speed.....If I wanted that I would have gotten a BMW or another Audi.......
The H3 I feel has enough power to get the job done, gets into traffic just fine.....just do not plan on a drag race unless it is against the UPS man. :-)

I agree with all that has been said about the H3 engine. Both good and bad. On a long up grade you will notice a drop off in power. That's about it though. Passing in 1st, 2nd, even 3rd gear is fast. Almost faster than expected. Good thing the brakes are awesome!
But once you take this truck out for a drive - well, none of the issues really matter. Because you will soon realize what its like being behind the wheel and in control of a Hummer!!
Nothing like it!!

my 90 silverado with a 350 puts out 210 horsepower , theres plenty of power our h3's put out 220 , because the trucks are geared this way , what everyone is mistaking for low power is actualy what gives us a great crawl ratio and 20 mpg on the hiway

Take a look at the 1/4 mile times of other trucks and you will see that the H3 is not that far off base HP wise. What else can touch it off road????
I don't have one yet but by golly I want one.

No Power problems here either. Sure more power would be nice although I am happy with what it has

The power is good enough for me too. In fact, I enjoy driving my rig so much that I now drive much slower so I don't get to my destination too quickly. I love to crawl on the asphalt while listening to my XM radio.
