Are all of these created equal or are some better than others? I am in the market to purchase one and would like some input on which are the better ones?

There are many favorites. Do a find search on hand held programmers and you will get alot of oppions. I'm slowly switching to full blown tuning software on the laptop. That way i can try different things instead of what smeon else wants me to run and I have found they make the tuners real tame which there is a liability so You cannot blame them. Going to start on My 99 Silverado Tuesday to get prepared to start on H2 Saturday maybe Friday.
Silverado has no forced induction but, have visited with several guys who work to tune to see just what they can get by tuning. There is a f body car owned by one of the HPTUNERS company owners that runs a normally aspirated firebird at 10.98@119MPH 1/4 mile. He added a cam and went to 10.295@128.48 No juice or forced induction. He just tunes all the time and has set records and broke his own all the time.

Superchips racing has went into a deal with them to provide tuning that superchips will put into the handhelds so You may want to wait till after the first of the year. But I have there next generation after the 1.7.0 as they are a sponsor and the new package is very user friendly. With just some time and study you can learn to use it quicker than the older program. There will be another generation but, they do not now when.

Shouldn't be too difficult to tune with on 02 reading such as that from an LM1. I would imagine that you laptop setup would have these interfaces.

I work on my Harley with their SE Race Tuner software and have become quite proficient at it. My EFI Fat Boy with 103" V-Twin is at 120/120 hp/tq.

Good Luck Bro....

I am only wanting to do some mild stuff on the H2 to get the beast rolling with minimal impact on streetability. IE Corsa exhaust, AirRaid, hypertech programmer.

I am getting the impression that the MAF sensor and Cat converter are fine for these mild mods and should be good unless I plan on going over 400 hp. I would do some headers, but don't want to sacrifice bottom end any more.

I was just watching an episode of "Two Guys Garage" on Speed Channel. They were tuning a new Mustang with a laptop and some software. I Tivo'd it so I'll have to watch it again. Also saw an episode where they installed a Magnacharger on a Tahoe. I love that show.
