Default Off-Road Warrior, Pavement Pounder, or Somewhere in Between?

There's a lot of sweet trucks on this forums with sweet mods, but I've always wondered which were Road Warriors and which were Off-Road Warriors.

Do you wheel your big, bad rig? A little, a lot, or never?

I haven't off roaded yet because I just bought mine last spring but I really want to learn!!! You want to meet up sometime and teach me the ropes once I upgrade my tie rods etc?

I do however run over a few things here and there!

LOL...I don't know about 'the ropes.' I ain't got many ropes to teach...ha. I always sorta 'wing it' and just approach obstacles logically.

We'll connect up as soon as Reggie gets his Dmax back from Cali...I'm sure we can find some trouble to get in once we put our heads together.

Definitely willing take the H2 off-roading with you guys. Dmax conversion has been done, but I'm running into the same F'ing problem I had getting it out there. MF'ing transporters are flaky to say the least. Errrrrrr

I've taken mine off-road a few times but always with some trepidation because it was in such good condition with low miles. I was on a very narrow trail where I swore the brush was going to put some deep scratches into the paint. I did get one bad one but I was able to buff it out.

But now that I am over 30k miles and the valet attendants have put a couple of minor door dings in it I plan to do more.

Those aren't scratches...they're battle scars.

When mines clean you'd think I date some real angry broads...loads of scratches up and down both sides. LOL!

It's funny because for the first time, i'm not worried about scratching my car! I think that is the great thing about hummers, even with scratches, It's one bad mutha *SHUT YO MOUTH!*

Ive always babied my cars, and worried about scratched and etc, with the hummer it's like BRING IT! The hummer is like John McClane!

My H2 sees offroading everyday. I live in the Adirondacks and it's a half mile off the road and up the gravel/mud road and sometimes through the creek to our home. It's the main reason I own an H2 and an H3 and probably someday an H1. I've owned Jeeps, Powerwagons, two Ford F350 dualie 4 X 4s and five other 4 X 4s and nothing does as well as the H2 in snow and mud. If you don't have a REALLY GOOD 4 X 4 you don't go anywhere in the winter here! This last freak Oct snowstorm paralyzed everyone else, but my whole house standby generator is doing great with about 10 days more supply of propane, and I've been getting in and out in the snow with my H2 easily

What was your favorite 4x4, back when you were there and doing that?

I have to admit, I do both. This year I was finally able to get a commuter car so that my Humm doesn't have to hit the highways as much, so it is nice to not be racking up the miles. Being that I am from Idaho, and I live in Utah, I get plenty of back and forth use both on and off-road between Idaho and Utah. When I am in Idaho, I am usually up in Montana and Wyoming too, so the need for ultimate offroading vehicle is always there. With some of the snow storms I have driven through over the mountain passes here, I am glad I am in the Hummer and not some incapable truck.

The lift and add ons are just for more capability, don't really care what anyone else thinks. I don't want something stupid like the weather preventing me from going where I need to, especially where I live. Cheers to the city and the country drivers!
