The only thing you can do for sure is a Straight Axle Swap. IFS doesn't have the same travel. The straight axle benefit is keeping all four tires in contact with the ground at all times, thus keeping traction at a maximum.
However, the ride sucks. IFS is much more comfy.
It's just not in the cards. Improving the lines you choose, and becoming a skilled driver is about the best you can hope for.
If you want to do the extreme stuff, get a rock buggy.

Re: Messing around after a Pismo trip
I got a lot of smiles and people taking pictures. I was kinda upset about the performance of the H3 in the sand. My stock V6 Dakota was a lot better in it. The H3 is under powered in the sand. Almost makes me want to trade it in.

I agree. The stock tires suck in sand.

Re: Messing around after a Pismo trip
I only aired down to 25psi. What tires do you recommend? On the Dakota I was using Xterrains. They seemed to kick a$$. Should I stick with them? I was in 4 Hi lock and usually shifting between 2nd and 1st.

Probably not low enough. They say the last 5 or so psi makes a big difference. I did better on stock tires at reg psi than I did my monster 325 Terra Grapplers at reg psi. Next time I will air down for sure.

Yeah, probably too high. I was down to 15 PSI and still had some trouble in a couple areas. Would just lose traction on a flat area and start digging in.
The folks with mudders seemed to fair better. Kind of a paddle effect in the soft sand. Getting a wider tire will also help.

Re: Messing around after a Pismo trip
I was thinking maybe running Bogers. Or maybe even getting a set of padle tires for the sand. Who knows..

Re: Messing around after a Pismo trip
I had no trouble with the stock tires in Pismo after airing down but did get stuck in the sand elsewhere without airing down

Re: Messing around after a Pismo trip
Airing down is key. 25 psi is way to high. I would think that 20 would be much better in the sand.

i ran really hard last time out at pismo with 15 psi , no issues . i think i could go down to 10 if i had to with no problem , just have to be careful not to do any high speed turns
