Are you comparing the "built-in" front bumper model with the "Multi-mount" which can be switched front/rear? If so, I have been through all this with these guys and, not suprisingly, they each love what they have. I decided to go with the multi-mount. A bit more of a pain in the butt, but it can be completely removed, and the "built-in" bumper mount does...ever so slightly...affect approach angles. Also, I want the ability to effectively winch myself out of any bad situations I start to roll into when alone, and the ability to mount it and winch from the rear was the deciding factor for me. Just my 2 cents.

Get both.
The pros/ cons of both setups will go around all day long... and than some.
I have the WARN (it does effect AP angle a little) but you can push dirt/ rock out of the way or slide over things with that bumper. I've seen it done. The multi-mount gets hung up in some situations and in some cases has bent the cradle. I've seen that happen also.
Now, if your looking for a "solves all" answer, get both, esp. if you off road by yourself (not a good idea all of the time), but you can winch from both sides if needed. To have to change out a winch when your stuck really sucks. Esp. if you are on some type of "V" situation and bumpers are already bottomed out. How do you get a winch in there now? In many cases (Moab), if you need to Winch, you can't get out of your truck to winch anyhow. Soem of the climbs/ shelves, require you to stay in your vehicle with the brake pushed through the floor boards. To have to pull a winch off the back and put in the fron would be a pain.
i though you posted a screamin deal on one of those WARN bumpers already. for that price, I would buy both.
My "next project" is going to have both for sure. But they will both be integrated into bumpers.
good luck,
Tim.

C'mon, Alec - you know that front bumper winch requires a weekly alignment and air ride suspension to be added to the front as well.
Seriously, I agree about the application. Since I go out alone a lot, and sometimes start into something before I should, I wanted one to go front AND back. But the front one is ALWAYS there and ready...aw DAMMIT!!! Why can't I make this fawking decision???????

The only fool here is Alec. Before making accusations about something you know nothing about, you might try searching the internet for "winch weight alignment front" and you will see that there are many out there with problems doing this on vehicles with much stonger suspension than on our Hummers.
You have been nothing but a Blabber Mouth since you joined this forum way back when. Yes, there are posts still there where you opened your big mouth and managed to piss off more than a few people, yet you continue to do so to this day. You should have been banned back when you started the Racial slurs.
I can back up my claims with lots of links to others having issues with adding extra weight to the front end of their vehicles. Yet, you have nothing but a blabber mouth that continues to run people away. You seem to never learn...

Okay, I tried your suggested search. Tried it on two seperate search engines. There were no links to any such problem. So now you need to make good on your boast - back up your claimn with some specific links?
Thanks,
Sean

Adding 120lbs to the front end does NOT necessitate an alignment. I can point you to any number of shops(that offer alignments) that will tell you it's not necessary. S, please, allow me to invite you to go shut yer pie hole. Don't make Dennis ban you.( )

DRTYFN, if that's all the total weigght that's being added - then that should be okay.
The setups I have seen and was referring to with Winch, heavy steel bumper/grill guards lights etc add well over 250+ pounds. Granted this was on Heavy Duty Pickups etc and not an H2. Most OEM style H2 grill guards are for looks and not function.
You can see the weight some setups add and grief they can cause http://dodgeram.org/tech/mods/suspension/springs.htm
I am NOT stating that all setups do this, but only the ones I have seen in the past were made of very heavy steel.

I am runing the Warn 9.5 TI Multi-mount on my rig and I love it. I have not had any problems with it or using it.
I do Off Road a lot, and sometimes I do run by my self, and I like the ability with the Multi-mount to be able to go from the front to the rear if I need to do so.
And I did remove the third seat in my truck and I store the 9.5 TI there were the third seat would be, I used tie downs to keep the winch secure in the truck.
The only draw back to the 9.5 TI, it can be a pain in the but to put on and take off. And after you do it a few times and get the fill for it, it realy is not that bad to put on and take off by your self.
Note that I do have a very bad back from a car accident, and I am still able to put the warn winch on by my self.
If you have some time to kill befor you buy your winch, what you could do is go to one of the Hummer events in your area, and see what people are runing on there trucks, and talk with them to see if they like the set up they are runing on there truck.
Good luck to you on your search for a winch.

I learned recently that the 9.5ti/cradle setup is lighter if you use the synthetic rope instead of a cable. And, when you use the rope, you don't use those big fairleads that poke out of the front.
