Back up camera with factory nav unit.

Has anyone else hooked up a hitch cam back up camera with a factory nav system?
We installed one recently, with a kit provided by hitchcam. It works, but about 50% of the time you hit the brakes the nav screen flickers, not just in reverse, in any mode. Just wondering if anyone else has found a good way to make this work right.
