Republicans are taking issue with the size of the plane Pelosi has requested. Pelosi had asked for access to a C-32 plane, a military version of the Boeing 757-200.

Hastert, an Illinois Republican, flew in a small commuter-sized jet. Pelosi and her aides say that because her congressional district is in California, her security would require a larger plane that can fly coast to coast without refueling.

Navy Cmdr. Jefrey Gordon, a Pentagon spokesman, said Wednesday that Pelosi would be offered "shuttle service for no more than 10 passengers between Washington and San Francisco only based on aircraft availability."
"This does not guarantee nonstop transport," Gordon said.

No it's not. She wants a larger plane so she can fly non-stop from DC to CA. The problem is with the extra seats and who's going to sit in them. What a perk for fundraising.FWIW, she's been turned down by the military up to this point. That's right. They campaign on the unfariness to the little guy imposed by the evil people that have stuff, except themselves.

She should either agree to ferry at least 20 needy children somewhere useful on each of her flights or drop everything and institute legistation mandating that politicians must demonstrate exceedingly good memory retention skills concerning their own statements otherwise they can be immediately kicked out of office.

I suppose before she bid for the job this never crossed her mind. What crap She'll burn more fuel every weekend than all the taxi cabs in New York. At Reagan airport in DC, all those who hold office have a speacial place to park for free. So why can't she at least do that and fly normally.
The Gov't will come back with some BS answer that the pilots need flight time and are allowing her to ride along for free..
