The 2004 Innovations Award winner, the Peripheral Electronics PXGM24 is the industry’s first stand alone auxiliary input for GM Class2 vehicles. The PXGM24 interface will allow up to two auxiliary input sources to play through OEM radios that are equipped with the GM 24 pin harness. The PXGM24 was created to provide a fool-proof method for supplying a direct audio input for multimedia installations. This plug-n-play solution surpasses FM modulation which is the current method of introducing audio in these systems. Selecting an input source is as simple as pressing the source button on the radio. The head-unit can toggle between all the possible sources as if they were factory installed, displaying CD, FM, AUX1, AUX2 or whatever source is selected. Some of the vehicle applications include 2003-2004 Full Size Pickups and SUV’s, Trailblazer, Monte Carlo and Impala just to name a few. The PXGM24 also has four independent level adjustments for each input channel. Adding a multimedia system or XM radio without degradation of sound quality is now a plug and play interface away.

I was just checking that, they look similar. They only refer to the unit in the magazine as a "GMAA". I think the only difference is the one in the magazine will only allow one input source to be added. The one shown by Klaus will allow 2 sources to be added. Look at them close, this one has RCA jacks on both sides, the one in the magazine only has them on the left side.

The posts I made above are 2 different adapters, both AUX inputs.

Also, there is another adapter that should be released in the next week or so that will be a similar to the Soundgate adapter. It will allow a Pioneer XM radio module to be connected to our sound systems.

Interesting that availability concides with the shipping of the PAC AAI-GM24. Looks similar in function, but wonder if both can use the steering wheel controls. Here is the Logjam Electronics info on the PAC AAI-GM24 that is now shipping. Will know more next week when mine arrives.

The PAC AAI-GM24 is a stand-alone auxiliary input converter that works in most 2003-2004 GM vehicles. Unlike the PAC AAI-GM12, the AAI-GM24 works with vehicles that do NOT come with factory XM, factory DVD or factory external CD changer. The AAI-GM24 has two auxiliary inputs selectable by the headunit's button. Even works in most vehicles with the factory 6 disc in-dash head units. The AAI-GM24 auxiliary input is the first in the industry to use either the radio buttons or steering wheel controls to send out commands to PAC's optional SWI-X which can be used to control an MP3 player, DVD, VCP or most devices that use an infrared remote. A complete and up-to-date application guide will be available when device is available. Please note: PAC part# AUX-GM24 has been changed to AAI-GM24.

3. Will this adapter work with a 2003 Cadillac Escalade with the factory installed DVD Navigation System AND the AUX 6-CD Changer (CDX) options? The adapter would be used to only add XM Radio.
