I am really exited to see the SUT come out but at the same time I am concerned with how far GM is going to go with bringing out new and different models. I guess I am thinking it is going to take away from the Hummer uniqueness and turn it into just another SUV. I hope not, just curious to see if anyone else felt the same.

I totally agree with you. With each additional rig they produce, they decrease the Hummer's uniqueness. But you must reallize that the H2 is a spin-off of the H1. So if you enjoy your H2 like I do mine, we must have the cajones to respect that there will be models to continue down the food chain. You don't have to like it, but now that GM owns the HUMMER name, it can be expected that they will proceed to saturate the lower-end markets with the Hummer good name.

Additionally, you can rest assured that the H2 is the true ultimate combo of ability and function. Subsequent watering down of all other models will occur but will be separated by funcion. So if you own your H2 because of it's statement (and reality) of the ultimate off-road machine, there is nothing to worry about. The others will only be comparable to Land Cruiser and those who create cars that look like SUVs. The ground clearance, HP, and approach and departure angles will always separate us from the posers.
