I am looking for a non 6 disc radio with the aux button for a factory external changer on it still.

I want something that is cheap and compatible with the onstar system and the factory speakers in the truck.. don't care what condition it is in as long as it works correctly.

Any ideas.. is there a NON changer head unit option for our trucks.. and if so anyone have one they would like to sell?

Need it for a cool project I am working on.. I will show all when it is done.. just need that for now.

TIA

Most of the guys that replaced the head unit just tucked it behind the glove box to keep onstar active. The Gm wireing is not like it used to be. One clip and you have all kinds of problems. The lines are send/recive so most accessory places keep the radio as is for onstar and plug in. Fm modulator is best in my opnion.

If you go to autotoys.com they have an adapter to plug into the AUX port on the back of the radio. This allows you to hook up two aux devices and play them through the radio.

You are right.. I am going to leave the factory radio in there, I am installing a car PC in and want to dismantle as much of the factory radio as possible and hide is somewhere in the dash. What I don't want to do is ruin my factory radio so I can return it to stock if I ever decided to part with the truck, like if Hummer decides to put a duramax in them..

Thanks and I will keep looking.
