Default Rockstars - The Machined Ones.

Never really liked Rockstars.. but I came across these

20x8.5 w/ a NITTO TERRA GRAPPLER.

I wanted to get away from the mud tires since I never drive in mud and do a lot of driving to the mountain in the winter.

What do you think?

I've seen them on a Jeep before (not the 20s tho). They're ok. Not my cup of tea, but they don't look cheap at least.

I have NEVER cared for rockstars, I think they are some of the worst looking rims ever created and honestly these don't look any better.

Just my opinion....

This isn't a community vote on what you will buy...if you like'em, get'em.

Personally I ****ing hate the rockstars...but my reason is not because they are a bad looking wheel. Its because they are one of the most over used wheels on the market. If they weren't whored out so much, my opinion would be different.

Lol... I bought them before I posted this thread. just wanted to see what people thought of the machined style. You don't see a lot of these like the black ones.

It's weird... I've never liked rockstars either ... At all. Not because everyone has them, I just never cared for them. But this one did catch my eye. Don't know why but it did.

I spent a week looking at tons of wheels and trying to get a bit more mellow wheel / tire setup. Not such the aggressive mudder look but I didnt want a bling chrome look either. Theres a lot to choose from but I just kept coming back to these. Weird based on my prior dislike for them.

Good chance I'll get them on and decide I don't want them. If so no biggie I'll just get new ones. Hoping my attraction doesn't fade once on the truck though.

I'm having a harder time with the a/t tire than the rim. It just seems puny. The combo of the bigger rim and slightly smaller tire (34.43x12.36) really makes those wheel wells look empty.

The rim is different and I'm just not used to the silver on the truck. But I think I'll end up keeping them.

In a perfect world I'd ditch the a/t tires and go with 37s m/t. Maybe a 37" a/t would be the answer? Hmmmm never thought of that until just now.

Then there's gears and gas mileage issues. Hmmm.. Still something to think about.

Anyways here's some pics.
