Tomorrow for the first time, I am meeting up with the local Hummer club sponsored by the local dealership.

I'm sure it's nothing too drastic but they'll have...

-stair step hill
-fundamental teachings for your 4x4
-how to "follow a line" in oof road environments
-basic extraction, etc, etc...

I know it's probably stupid for you more experienced guys but I haven't been offroad at all yet and after watching so many of you pro's, it became very apparent that good driving is half skill and half competent vehicle.

Well, at least I'm half way there...lol.

It'll give me a mini lesson and perhaps I'll learn more if I'm lucky enough to tag along on one of ya'lls trips.

Mark

Make sure you ask them to demonstrate the "Rocker Protection Pivot" thing.

Nice pic, Fubar! And truth be told, you blazed that water/mud trail. I followed.

The truck was only half your clean-up ...

looks like fun was had by all.

This pic is of Rod, I folowed next and it took me 3 hrs. with a hose to get all the mud I could out of every hidding place, once back home.

Ken great idea with the sprinkler.

I finally broke down and took the truck to a shop that had a rack and a steam cleaner. I should have taken a camera cuz the poor guy the stood under the truck while cleaning was quite a sight. picture a rain sliker, goggles and lots and lots of mud..

Sounds like a good time...as long as the company is nice. Ive been to a couple of the Hummer Happenings(1 was offroad, 1 was a social) and found the company to be pleasant. You might even learn something to get more out of your rig.
