So the GM at the company I work for asked another employee here to park his H3 behind the building because it is drawing attention from the customers. (People paying for the services of the public utility I work for) He then went on to mention my name as well...saying that both of us should be parking our Hummers behind the building.

Can you believe that? I was shocked. Has anyone else heard of anything like this?

Is this guy an idiot? What does it matter if they are attracting attention or not anyway?

Ahhh..Very true, but I have no idea if he likes it or not. I'm very confused as to why he's even here. However I must admit the threads are very entertaining.

I like BLING. He's a funny troll. HD is just a boring loudmouth.

I have a buddy with a white H2. He drives it to all his client meetings. He told me he's never had a negative comment.

HD, you are everywhere personally insulting everyone on here just because you are filled with enragement. Debating with you is like debating with a five y/o about people actually living inside the TV. Pointless and tiresome, especially after the 2 weeks that you have been here. The fact that you want to debate about state law, company policy and labor law is absolutely funny since you don't know the VT statues, his company policy (which I'm sure this situation was not mentioned), and Labor law in which this subject has nothing to do with. Plus, given the entire situation, you would have to factor in judge made law, the employers will to enforce the request and the intent on the employee acting on a request that was made to him. Which it was not, it was hearsay, so it is pointless and tiresome.

You were just being a dickhead, saying "if you don't like it tough" on a thread that had nothing to do with you because you need attention because you are enraged. It is old. </div></BLOCKQUOTE>

Oh no, watch out, CP is fired up now </div></BLOCKQUOTE>

Ok, Yes on private land here, but how can someone tell an H2&H3 owner to park out back and not a suburban owner? Could it be branded parking? It is just weird.

Take another big sniff, and hike your pants up Mr. Fife. Just keep on typing.

WTF! Now your giving job advice to Hummer owners? Whom are most likely valued at their jobs or are the boss, not dispensable fry techs. So it's not what you're used to.

I can kinda understand this logic - I've been having various contractors over for work on my house and I feel a little funny when I try to negotiate the price downward when I have the Big Yellow H2, a Ducati motorcycle, and an RL parked outside. Not to mention I'm working from home when they come and I'm almost always younger.

But...It IS my $$, and you only live once so I can spend it when and where I want.

Interesting point of view Orbital...

LOL! Yeah, you know the back area is coser! I would just go along with whatever happens...I just find it comical that the Hummer drivers are picked out...but hey - they are like nothing else!

I don't necessarily agree that the reason was because the "vehicle promotes an image that the company is not willing to deal with."

VT said that it was drawing attention from the customers coming in to fork over cash. If he had a ferrari, or any other type of vehicle that is either uncommon on the road or brand-spankin' new, it would most probably draw the same amount of attention.

Hmm....actually...naw, nothing beats a HUMMER!!!! Why don't you just park on the street accross from work...then you're not on private property, and the vehicle can be admired still..

If what you say is true...there would never be a plaintiff winning a harassment case, or winning discrimination case.
