WTB.... pin!
eeeerrrr... so, some azzhole stole the pin that locks the Spare Tire swing arm in place. I believe only 03-04s came with this type of swing arm, does Anybody by ANY chance have an extra one I could buy?

Re: WTB.... pin!
I have the same early model tire carrier made by SMA on my SUT and I use a Master Brand 1/2" Hitch Pin that is the locking type so no one can take the pin or swing the carrier out without unlocking it first.
And it was cheap. It came with a 5/8" sleeve to use on both size hitch pin holes an the tire carrier is 1/2" so it worked perfectly for me.

Re: WTB.... pin!
Great idea !!! I think I might do that because I've always been scared someone was going to pull my pin out just being spiteful and I would drive around until it flung open and broke my spare tire off ! Or even worse hit a car or person with my spare. It's soo heavy it would cause alot of damage.

Re: WTB.... pin!
that is a great idea, I'll look around.
And funny you say that cuz the way I found out it had been stolen was when I left my buddy's house (where they made the CRIME!) and I took off and made a right turn.. i heard something slam into me and had no idea wtf it was, Sounded like someone had thrown a swingin hammer or a small civic slamming into my rear frame... but it was the spare tire... I had to drive the rest of the way home really careful and put a impact took shizzle end through it for the time being.

Re: WTB.... pin!
Yep that happened to me too ! I left the car wash after getting a detail ,stopped at a light and heard and felt a loud bang. It sounded like someone rear ended me. I looked around but there were no cars in sight so I pulled over to check it out. They forgot to put the pin back in. That spare slams shut pretty violently.
