I wish I'd gotten video of Jon's H1 doing these, but he had the camera. BOTH hills are harder than they look here! The little Jeeps down in the distance give some perspective. The bigger one had several Jeeps and trucks try it and fail. The little one, well, they wouldn't even try!

Here's a Jeep trying it...he backed down. Bad cell-phone pic, sorry!
Wanted to make sure to say that this is NOT one of the Jeeps on the desert trip - this was the next day closer to home.

But the H2 did!!!!!
Thanks again to Jon for the line and the brake tips. He can pilot that H1 of his!!! This pic gives a better idea of how steep the first part of the hill really is - and it is VERY loose, sandy soil.

Goerge, Sean, we gotta hook-up!!
Looks like there is another run this Sunday Nov 13th to Calcite Mine & Truckhaven near Anza Borrego Desert State Park (San Diego Co.). The run is organized by the psychosquad -- go to their new forum through the SoCalForum link.

Well, knothead, we were in California. Up the 14 about 80 miles or so north of Santa Clarita around the Red Rock/Jawbone Canyon area the first day with the big group, then at Rowher Flats OHV area with a smaller group the second day. Where in Cal-ee-for-nya are you?

More pics from the first day in the desert. These are from "Rover Scott" - the best damn spotter around....and an INCREDIBLE driver in his Rover!
His pics are great. A better shot of the beauty of the Old Dutch Cleanser Mine...
