Re: Road Trip 07
Paul, Awesome set up! Looks like my "work truck" H3 when I'm loaded for a job. What rack is that above your spare tire? Is it attached to the rear door? Those drawers and shelf in the very back, are they home made or do you have a link? I could really use some of that stuff!

HOLY Jed Clampett!!!! Where you gonna put Granny?
...and I thought I loaded up big. That last trip to Moab, fully loaded roof & interior, I averaged about 11 mpg....but who the hell's counting?

Thanks, made both the rack and the storage drawer system, there a thread on both..... The rack is great for gas and cooler... akmost needed gas yesterday coming across UTAH... 106 mile between services and I was under a half tank when passing last services... actually I was hoping to run out then I could have said to the wife "See,,, I told you these cans of gas would come in handy"

There's two Contigo boxes, a really big and and the smaller SUV Tufbox, stands about 13" tall... I bought two of the others and owned them for about 30 minutes.... way to tall, around 18".... These smaller ones are great,, tough as nails...

I put Granny in a stuff sack in the first tub on top....
Yesterday had 290 miles on tank before filling up and light was not even on.... 15 MPG average so far... it's crazy.... getting better mileage all loaded up than when runnin empty. Yesterday we crossed the divide in CO, 5-6K RPM first gear up the big hill....
Pictures coming soon....

Yeah.. The smaller one was the one I was thinking about.. IMHO it could stand to be about 3 or 4 inches shorter and about the same added to either the width of length.. Every inch added to the height is like pushing another barn door down the road...

Re: Road Trip 07
[quote=SR1355]Some pics coming across UTAH yesterday... We spent Saturday and Sunday in Estes Park CO, ran a couple of trails, Post Hill, Iron Clads, and Plane Wreck.... Loose and rubblie.... had lots of fun... these pics are of yesterday cross country from CO to UT... it was hot out and the truck didn't like it... I've read a couple of threads on engine temp but I don't like running at the 3/4 mark not matter what GM tells us... it make me a little nervous.
I need to check into those threads about the engine temp. I was worried something was wrong with mine since Ive been running at 3/4 mark also. Dont like it.
