Paragon, yes I have an H2. It's a Black '06 SUT lux package with all options except air suspension. Would have gotten the air as well, but dealer talked me out of it for some reason. Said it offered no benefit and costed more. Once I found out about the extra 2" of lift, I tried to get them to swap out my SUT for one with air but it already had been invoiced.

I have added the 9500i cradle setup and cabling from my previous '01 Chevy 2500HD. Before that, I had a cradle setup on my '97 Z71 with factory HD suspension. Here is the truck I just sold, and it had a welded in reciever for the winch that was welded into my cattle guard. In some of the pics, you can see my H2. I am also attaching an old pic of my '97 Z71. http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.jsp?car_id=188722617&...sp=y&lang=&cardist=0

This will offer some proof that I have over 9 years experience with winching and using cradle MM winch setups.

No, I don't give up on the hunts. When hunting, I try not to do too much labor -kinda messes up all the scent-free stuff I put on before the hunt

Yes, it is impractical to leave the winch inside. I was just offering an alternative if it altered someones approach angle. No matter how everyone flames me over it, it is better for MY tires if carrying it on the back. I can't do it now because my SUT has the rear tire carrier. However, since I now only put the winch on when I hunt and don't drive around all week with it - it's not near as bad on my tires.

The H2 does seem to have very stiff suspension that is not near as bad as my previous 1/2 ton was on tires. The 2500HD had very stiff suspension as well, but that heavy grill guard and winch setup really made the front sag and need an alignment there as well.

I did not mean to imply that everyone "must" get an alignment done. It would seem to me that because I can notice the difference in the front suspension/tires when using my MM winch, that the complete bumper setup would only make matters worse. After all, those bumpers look a lot nicer and heavier than the stock setup.

Again, was just trying to offer some input for the guy that was looking for it and not trying to hit on anyone's nerves.

tomp, you should have just left well enough alone.

So, did you just give up on the hunts because you couldn't get to the spot you wanted to get to. That's the whole purpose of having a winch, to keep you going where your 4wd stops.

Do you even own an H2? First it's simply impractical to leave the winch inside the truck until you need it. There are times that you will not be able to get the winch in the receiver once you are stuck in an obstacle and then what good is that winch.

Where did you hear that the bumpers decrease approach angle? I have the Warn and several have the Drty and none of us complained about losing any approach.

Lastly, how many H2s are you aware of that had to have an alignment done after adding the winch bumpers? I for one, did not. I know at least 10 others that never mentioned it if they did.

Your opinion is fine around here, but when you start trying to throw your opinion around as if it is fact, especially when it is quite baseless, expect people to respond. If you don't like for others to contradict your opinion, then don't give your opinion. Very Simple. </div></BLOCKQUOTE>

That pic of my '97 was too big to post it. Sorry...
