Pictures are quite crappy, as I only had my cell phone with me. No one on the beach for miles due to Hurricane cleanup still taking place.

Churchill,
It's the SMA Heavy Duty brushguard. So far it has been holding up quite well.

Socrates,
What beaches are open to drive on in Florida? We were looking at putting together a group of trucks to cruise a beach somewhere, as a part of a warm vacation for once.
We don't want the hassle of Daytona (5 MPh, no drinks, etc.) - but would still like the attention
Thanks!

Shannon,
I guess the pictures are a bit deceiving. Due to the construction and lack of anyone around due to Hurricane Ivan damage, some people (including construction vehicles) have been driving on the sand, but normally it is not allowed. Of the few beach communities I've lived at in Florida thus far, none have allowed vehicles on the beach. I've wondered the same thing myself, but so far I've only heard of Daytona, as most people know.
Cheers,
-Justyn

Fort Myers is on the Gulf side but way further south and there are some beaches there that you can drive on out on Sanibel and Captiva.

Also, later this summer you might be able to drive on some of the beaches on the Outer Banks in NC.

Beach Run:
Crystal Beach, TX = Alcohol,20mph, topless women, about 5 miles cruise
North Padre Island State Park, TX. 30+ miles of beach, Mostly deserted,20 mph, but areas of thick sand will slow you down. Great fishing and camping.

I've got to agree with you Phil. There is something about the people from Corpus that just isn't right. There is an ongoing joke with me and my buddies. Almost all the local (You and yours excluded of course!) have huge foreheads. We think it's the overabundance of sea salt in the water, or overabundance of beer in thier diet. What ever it is, they sho is ugly!
