I think it depends on what look you're trying to achieve. I've got a double on mine now and am looking to trade it for a single. Even after I get the lift kit next week, to me, a double is still too much.

I personally like the double guard better. The top rail of the guard is visable from the drivers seat and it shows you where the absolute front of your vehicle is. It makes it easier for parallel parking.

??? so you suffered the same paint scratches as everyone else (not that you care about that) and still managed to damage your "brush guard" My question is, What good are they then?

I prefer the double b guard. When wheeling and parking, you get a visual as to where the corners and front bumper is. Kane Creek left no scratches on my hood, but did scrape everything else. If I had the limb guards like Adam used to have on his rig, I would have been better off. The single I believe would have only prtected the grill only and the extra height of the double saved the hood.
...my 2 cents.

I'm happy to hear they performed some kind of protection. I'll put a double brush guard on my list of things to get before returning to Moab.

I don't think they really protect. I think they are mostly for looks. The ones that would really do a better job protecting look kind of ugly.

You are really slow aren't you? What part of the experiences cited above where they did indeed protect did you not understand? I would have been replacing a grill and had some body work on the hood done if it weren't for my grill guard. As far as the rest of it, re-read the experiences above.

How difficult are these to install? There are times when I would like to have one on but I would say that most of the time I would prefer it without it on because I think it looks better without it.
