Re: Any idea?
I've heard the headlight's are the newer H3's, got mine last Aug, it's the parking light type. I would rather use the parking lights than the head lights. As a matter of fact I turn them off most of the time.

Re: Any idea?
Mine was built in Dec and the parking lights are used for DRLs. I think the ones using the headlights started showing up in May as I recall.

Re: Any idea?
Early 06 used marker side lights. Later 06 uses headlights. I believe some states require DRL's to be headlights.

Yes (on the early statement) and no (on the states requirements ), some countries require the DRLs to be headlights, and at some point, GM started exporting H3s overseas, where Headlamps were required. (Or at least that is what I was told in a H3G meeting. )

Re: Any idea?
Mine are the parking lights. I notice my headlights come on a lot during the day when driving through the shade w/ the auto mode selected. I have thought about covering the sensor on the dash so the headlights are always on, but will then automatically turn off when I turn off the ignition. I wonder if people think I am flashing them when my lights go on and off during the day?
