I want to get a H2, but I don't live in an area where I can go off-roading much. I could spend 10,000 less and get a full size suv with many more features, more room and 4 wheel drive good enough for snowy paved hills.
All that being said,
PLEASE talk me into getting a H2!

You realize a Honda Element would be much better for the environment.

Ok, ok, go ahead and get the H2

I really like my Tahoe.
I LOVE my H2.
If you do not want people coming to you asking about your vehicle, starring at you everywhere you go, peeking in the windows and in general awe, buy the Tahoe...or Element for that matter.

Don't get an H2! If you have to ask for our opinions you are not ready for one. Go get anything but an H2 you might be better suited for a FORD EXPLORER based on all your hesitation.

I agree with Hummer Man, you shouldnt have to be convinced to get one. I knew I wanted one since they came out. I gathered up the money and as soon as I could get one I went out and got it. Absolutely no hesitation. I've been loving it ever since.

But it you really have to be convinced, and if you like attention (here is a quick story).
My wife and I was pulling out of the local Wal Mart here in Orlando (tourist Capital) and actually had somebody snap a pic on there way into the store. I love my hummer just because its a hummer but I must admit, having a tourist snap of a pic makes you feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

I've had that happen as well, a cupel of times. What's fun is if you see some one checking out your hummer, hit the panic button on the key ring. Its scares the crap out of them.

Do you want to spend $10,000 or nearly $60,000?

If you have to second guess, then I'd suggest something more common/everyday than an H2. It's either for you, or it's not. There's really no inbetween IMO. If you drive it for a few weeks and think it uses too much gas, it's too big, it's not practical for how you drive, etc. then you've got yourself into quite a mess.

There is no better way to go. I sacrificed my Viper for a hummer. But as the others said if you hesitate you are not ready

I have to agree with the other replies on hesitating.

Last Sept/Oct (2002) I took off during lunch to go to the bank. I parked on the road and walked down the sidewalk toward the bank, and there sat a Burgundy H2 Lux. I had no idea what it was, but I couldn't take my eyes off of it. I'm not the type to stop & stare so I went along & did my banking, hoping it would still be there when I came out. It was & I walked past it slowly, checking it out real good & thinking "what is that?!". I spotted the H2 on the door & kept going back to my car.
Back at work, I hit "H2" into Google and up came the Hummer. That was it for me, I wanted one instantly. Then seeing that the SUT would be an even better fit for me, I went to my dealer and placed an order.

So I went from seeing one, to buying one in about 1½ months. Organized my finances, put together a plan, and never looked back.

You'll know if you want one & you won't need to be convinced.

atr,
I think you'd really like the RR Freelander much better. It's easier to park, cheaper, gets better MPG and it's so much cuter. And gay guys,..errrr, chicks dig it.

If you need to be talked into it than you probably dont want it that much. After taking just one look I knew I had to have one. It did take me about a year to finally pull the trigger. There are some tremendous deals on 03 leftovers right now.
