X2, but you will get stuck, eventually....the trouble with a 6000 lb Hummer is that it sinks easily! As soon as that frame is hung up, you're done.

Therefore, keep moving!

all the mud'n that Ive done I never found the need to go into 4lo, I prefer 4^lock so I can retain plenty of wheel speed. I use 4lo and diff lock for the slow stuff, climbing, water crossing, etc.

I wheel alone ,so Im carefull.I usually stumble on some trails upstate or find some when out of state and theres no one around.
I use 4 low, locked rear for 30 to 50 feet of mud and rip through it.
anything longer I would use 4 high and would need a buddy or a winch just in case.
I avoid going through long bogs alone. It would be stupid to attempt it a couple miles in by myself.

A question: If I get stuck deep in the woods would on star help me ?

If my wife and I are upstate or traveling out of state we find trails on our way to other places, there not planed wheeling trips.
I have to explore the trails we stumble across and we tend to travel alone.

Locally there are no trails or good wheeling spots on long island,I do go to a 4 wheeling beach with back trails not really worried about getting stuck there .There are many trucks there if I did.

A winch would increase your self rescue ability while whelin' alone. I tend to take the kids out for the weekends by myself. Still need to get a winch, Cris B hows your mod to mount coming???

Ben,

The very first time you do MUD go VERY VERY SLOW.

Then

After you get pulled out you will have the experience to tell others what to do correctly...

has anyone gone mudding without locking rear? I have h3x no looking rear

There is a mud bog in my town that the city put together. they have bulldozer that pull you out if you get stuck. last year there was only one that made it through. on the deeper side for trucks with lifts and bigger tires.

I would be on the smaller side, no one made it

Ill put up pics soon the ones on the web site are to small

I dont know boss, that looks pretty gnarly. you have to make up for not having a locker by going that much faster. A good set of rubbers cant hurt either. If you go for it, video it and post it!

All mods complete! I was just gonna say 442 needs an H3 winch mount! You go a lot further when you know you can get yourself out of anything.
