Default Confused programmer-need help!

OK, I know this is beating a dead horse but I'm really confounded by these shift point numbers I keep seeing in these threads. Almost everyone in here that has a Hypertech shows their shift points as:
1-2 + 3mph
2-3 + 4mph
3-4 + 5mph
or some variation. I'm looking at the instruction book and they refer to the shift points in RPM's as:
1-2 +300 rpm's
2-3 +400 rpm's
3-4 +500 rpm's
or some variation of that. And when I programmed mine it didn't show mph it programs in rpm's.

Can anyone explain the discrepancy between what the book says and what everyone in here says??? I am sooooooooooo confused.

JD
