I just read on the GM Card site that you can use your points toward H1 and H2s. They excluded Hummer before this so I stopped using that credit card. Maybe the wife will get a H3 when they come out.

Your right Joe.
I looked at the link and it does say H2. When I clicked on the link, it shows both the H1 and H2.

When I wanted to use mine they said only some new GM card was eligible for the H2 but they offered to change me over but told me that the points would have to start over. So i guess i can wipe with the $5000 Gm dollars I have built up

What is the point system on the GM card and how does one go about getting one?

Is it a Visa or MasterCard?

Go to:

http://www.gmcard.com

or if you have a business:

gmbusinesscard.com

It explains the point system there, etc.

Thanks Dan (and by the way - thanks for the defense on that other thread).

Unfortunately, you only earn 5% on purchases and the fine print says you can only use a maximum of $1000 towards the H2...

That means you'd have to spend $20k on your at best 9.9% APR (and up to 15.49% APR) GM card to get your $1000 rebate on the H2. Not bad if you pay your credit card every month (actually every 25 days according to GM Card Services), but a pretty raw deal if you don't or if your credit rating won't get you the 9.9% rate...

The devil is in the details. I'll find a better way to get the $1000 off...

Hi,

Just picked up 2004 H2. Used the old GM card
for earnings. Told the dealer to call in to GM
to find the amount. This amount was used like
as cash to lower out of pocket expense. Or to
increase downpaymet. Like extra money given to you by GM.
