Strange problems recently...

[H2 SVO]

I have a 05 LUX with approx 8500Miles that I have not had ONE single problem with TILL NOW.

Two strange incidents that I have not read about here or anywhere else.

#1. I was driving at about 80 MPH on the freeway and started to hear a very loud flapping sound from my roof area {like something was hitting my car} it only lasted a few seconds but I pulled over about 1/2 mile later and discovered that the rubber strip that is on top of the roof crossbars had come off. The locks and the bars themselves were in good shape and did not need any tighting down {I have never used them}

#2 Today I was lifting my hood to show a friend the engine. I've done this many times so it wasnt the first time. As I grab my hood handles, the one of the right snapped and came off in my hand!!!! The only thing I noticed was that the top screw that holds it on was veryyyy rusty. I didn't gorilla it or anything cause I am really delicate with my H2..

Anyone have thoughts on this?? Besides both incidents being really embarrasing, will my dealer fix these under warrenty?
