Anyone know how to get hold of the software that goes in the standard diagnostic scanner for GM / Toyoa, so i can clear my own faults with a laptop?

Needed because I have "Service airbag" fault code to clear, and I do not have access to the dealership.

Regards,

Mike.

Most of the programmers like the Preadator (about $300+) have a scan feature also and allow you to clear fault codes.

Thanks,

Have you tried the predator and can you reccomend it?

I have seen it on the net, but the advert was unclear about its exact capabilities on fault code clearance.

Many thans
Mike

I have a Predator and have used it to clear fault codes that set when the engine electrical got wet (be careful washing the engine). I can't really say what it's limitations are though, but I wouldn't expect it to do what a real scan tool would.
