Really cheap 08
I was driving down broadway again and I noticed one to the dealerships put a yellow sticker on the H2 they were selling. I couldnt help but find out what it was so i went to check it out. It was a brand new 2008 Lux, and the yellow sticker? It said $19,995 off! I was amazed! I really wish i could have gotten it, with it being 20 grand off.

Makes you wonder how much the Stealership maked it up first and inflated the bottom line price first before the $20,000 price off difference.
As an example we looked at a Chrysler 300C SRT once that once $15,000
over an price and they tried to charge a convience fee for delivery???

Must be something going on with the vehicle (maybe it's used w/ miles on it)...since it's a little rediculous to think that H2s had anywhere near that much markup. I wish they did - I'd be retired.

Re: Really cheap 08
I went by my Hummer dealer last Wednesday and the best they can offer is $11,500 off sticker and he showed me the invoice. That leaves very little profit to the dealership. I doubt any of them are selling them at a loss, so the big $s off must be on Demos. If they terminate the H2 the prices will go up real fast, however, as with other terminated cars, as the availability and expense of parts goes up, the prices go down until they reach classic status in 20 years.
Prime example is the Isuzu Vehicross that went up 1000s after they stopped making the limited production vehicle, now they sell for a song because you can't get parts (my neighbor has one) and as more and more disappear they will start going up in value, but not like a Hummer because they were not as desireable. Jackson, of Barret Jackson always said invest in the car you wanted when you were 16 to 19 and those will definitley be classics and increase in value eventually.

Re: Really cheap 08
Hey 02Man98,
I would take the deal. Those who have not been shopping for an H2 recently don't know the environment. Every one of the 08 H2 I was looking at 10 weeks ago is still for sale.
The H2 SUT I purchased was a dealer demo with 1300 miles, with luxury package, chrome steps and Nav. Dealer was asking $47,500. I wanted it at $38,500. After getting cursed out by the dealership salesman, I talk with the GM of the dealership. He as you know is really the best guy in the dealership to talk with. We finally settled on a price over $41,000.
The moral to this story is, no matter how ridiculous or upset the people at the dealership get, they still want to move H2, and they make no money having it sit on there lot day after day. Soon after I bought my H2, wouldn't you, other dealerships were still trying to sell me their H2.
If you look at vehicles on autotrader.com, everyone one of those H2 can be dropped by at least $3000. Just have to be patient and be willing to talk. And as you, it costs nothing to talk.
Good luck in purchasing your Rig.
