Default Advertise on Hummer?

Hi Folks,

I'm thinking of purchasing a hummer and selling ad space on the hummer to companies. I know it's been done in the past and is very eye catching. If anyone has any suggestions, please advise.

Is there a market for this? Is there potential for profit?

Thx.

Whatever the ad, incorporate a beautiful half naked woman it'll get more attention. May not sell any more but lots and lots of eyes will see it

I would never advertise on a Hummer.

1. It sends a message that your company makes too much money. Thats only useful if your an agent of some sort (i.e. real estate).

2. The general publics view/opinion of the Hummer is less than ideal. Sad but true.

I drive my beater to work.

I am just about to put my company logos on mine. I install custom home theater systems and surveillance systems. I also do vinyl on the side for fun and have vinyl cutting machines, so I do it all myself.

i agree. who wants to by encyclopedias from a guy who rolled up in a bentley?

a kid that used to deliver pizzas alongside me back in the day made alot less in his 'vette (HS grad present, then the parents cut him off) than i did in my POS

But for some things - some types of businesses - the Hummer is probably close to ideal. its big, its flat, so there is a lot of ad room, and it still turns heads like nothing remotely near its price... and as you mentioned, some biz's (like the training one shown above) SHOULD look successful, it adds to the image.

I would consider it if I were self employed and had my own biz - that way you can expense some (lots) of the expenses of running the machine (ie. gas, insurance, m&r, etc).

Though to advertise someone else's company that I have no involement with, nop. The H2 gets enough attention and questions when parking as it is now- to explain to others that the ads are for extra money to me sounds cheap.

Though if someone was willing to pay me to advertise their logo as a tattoo on my ass, that is another thing. I'd start the bidding at $100/mth.

As an owner of a real estate company, I have my company logo on my H2. It is my feeling that the image of an H2 is a positive one, being successful enough to be able to drive one speaks volumes on the success that I have in selling real estate. When a client interviews an agent that pulls up in an H2 and one that pulls up in a dodge neon (no offense to dodge neons or the people that drive them) the person viewed as the successful agent is going to win the listing.

The H2 is a unique vehicle for sure, had an elderly woman in a lincoln town car stop beside me and give me a thumbs up.

To answer your question....since my H2 gets SO many looks on the road, it is only a natural extension to my marketing plan to have my logos on it, if people are going to look they might as well see my logo....marketing is all about the number times a person sees your logos.

I put my company logo on my H1 about two weeks ago - literally 5 minutes later I got a call from it and went to see a guy about doing his product catalog photography.

Since then I have picked up several good contacts and leads from people just asking me what photography I do - it works well for me.

It all depends what area you are in - when I lived in PA I lost a good security contract because of my H2 - I was demoing my equipment to a large electrical supplier up there to their marketing guy - he loved the product. When I left I was 2 miles down the road and he called me to say that the CEO had seen me geting into the truck and ordered him not to deal with me because I obviously charged too much.

Down here in Fort Lauderdale most of the people I deal with own boats that cost more than my house - they dont trust anyone that turns up in a POS - they see it as a sign that you are not successful and therefore not good.
