Hummer H2 Black Ops Edition Concept
Searching the web for some black chrome and found this. Link is at bottom...anyone have more info?
I have a Desert Sand SUT and already have the Black Chrome Side Vents, Door Buckets and Handles...looking for Hood Handles, Hood Latches and Fuel Door. SMA was the main mfg. but they are still getting back together.
Anyhelp on source Black Chrome would be appreciated....I'm almost ready to take parts down to a chromer and have them done.
WhatWhat Is It?
Hummer H2 Black Ops Edition Concept
What's Special About It?
Looking to polish up its post-military act, Hummer will soon be offering its H2 model with a new set of black chrome accessories to complement its exterior. Included in the Black Ops Edition package is black exterior paint trimmed with black chrome door handles, mirror caps, grille and brush guard; exterior badging; and roof rack crossbars; plus bigger brakes and an intake air box and exhaust system for improved performance. 's Special

Capella 22x9" wheels with new 37" BFG tires
Wheels and parts were sent out to have dipped with black chrome
Lots of the parts are from SMA which is out of business and recently someone re-opened them but I have not seen any new parts lately. You can still find all of the parts on ebay, already in black chrome from SMA.
Lots of peeps have duped that "Look"... Personally, I like mine better

Damn Mr Tom.....
That is one very nice truck.
Great look.
BTW:
So what is it you've heard about SMA? I just checked that "Under New Management" web site of theirs and nothing appears to have changed.
I sure hope you've heard something to the contrary....

Re: Hummer H2 Black Ops Edition Concept
Hey Joe...
It's lifted, but done custom by Me. Since I have wide wheels, I needed to still be able to flex. Since the stock width wheel can go up into the wheel well, I lost some flex by going with wide wheels. Here's how I remedied the issue:
Custom shock extension brackets made from Cognito brackets. I found theirs to be too tall, so I measured all of my travel after cranking torsion bars and fabbed the brackets to the exact length needed. I then made some custom bump stop extensions to take up the slack between the bump stop and the control arms. Added 1" coil spacers in rear.
I now have about 2.5" inches in front and 1" in rear - over stock.
Planning on going to 37s in near future. If anyone wants a really good deal on these kinda tires, I have a brand new spare I will let go really cheap, as I about to change sizes to the 37s.
