Default Towing an H3 to Moab

The wif and I are thinking about possibly renting a trailer and using our H2 to haul our H3 to Moab in August. This way we can trade off driving as it is a long haul from Sacramento.

So my question is, do you guys think this is a good idea? I've read the threads on Hauling with the H2 and it seems like it would do fine, but I'm just kinda worried about the hills and the fact that it is a ways a way.

Also, is this even worth doing or should we just rough it and take both vehicles.

dump the trailer idea. You should be able to flat tow the H3 behind the H2. Besides the cool factor of seeing the 3 being flat towed behind the 2, it would be a lot more efficient.

Look to roadmaster or the like for a flat tow setup.

I think it's like the H2 and you push 2 of the 4wd control buttons to put the transfer case in Neutral. That's it.

You need to put the t-case in neutral. It's in the manual.

To answer your question more accurately, No, you wouldn't disconnect anything manually. It's made to be flat towed easily by easily switching the transfer case into neutral.

There's probably a mention about flat towing it in the owner's manual as well.

I think it would be best if you towed the H2 with the H3.

On older vehicles you can just disconnect the spedometer cable so no miles will be accumulated maybe this will work w/ H2/H3???
